CHINESE NEW YEAR AND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS #22

At Sparkling Sapphire Events, we believe every celebration should feel magical, meaningful, and beautifully designed. One of our most heartwarming recent experiences was a vibrant Chinese New Year and birthday celebration for the Year of the Horse 2026.

Students gathered together to honor their beloved teacher’s birthday while also welcoming the Lunar New Year in a festive and educational way. The celebration blended joy, culture, and community. One student proudly presented a thoughtful introduction to Chinese New Year traditions, captivating classmates with fascinating facts and stories. The room quickly filled with curiosity, excitement, and appreciation for the holiday’s meaning.

The event space was transformed with elegant red and gold décor, symbolizing prosperity, happiness, and good fortune. Coordinated plates, napkins, and cutlery shimmered in the traditional colors, creating a cohesive and festive atmosphere. A striking Year of the Horse backdrop served as a photo moment where children happily gathered, smiling and celebrating the occasion together.

Guests enjoyed a delightful spread of treats including pizza, birthday cake, scones, cheesecake muffins, French pastries, popcorn, assorted chips, and refreshing drinks, creating a warm and welcoming party environment that blended celebration with comfort.

THE CROWNED COLLECTION: SWEET 16 AT GERALDINA'S COURTURE #23

Step into a world of elegance, confidence, and couture at The Crowned Collection: Sweet 16 Couture Showcase at Geraldina’s Couture—an unforgettable experience designed to celebrate young queens stepping into their moment.

This exclusive event began with a warm and inviting social hour, where guests were treated to a beautifully curated spread featuring handcrafted charcuterie boards and cups, delectable crackers, homemade chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies, and cupcakes, all complemented by special signature drinks made from sparkling grape juice and lemonade. Every detail of the presentation reflected luxury and care—from the tables adorned with fresh florals welcoming the first day of spring, to gold candlesticks glowing with elegance, a stunning blue vase filled with flowers and diamonds, and a beautiful blue bowl displaying the crackers with refined charm.

Guests were also gifted small yet tasteful gift bags, each thoughtfully prepared with a pen and journal, inviting every young lady and guest to capture their most intimate thoughts, dreams, and inspirations from the experience.

The atmosphere then transformed into a captivating runway presentation, featuring 11 stunning, handcrafted gowns designed by Geraldina herself. Each piece embodied grace, individuality, and regal beauty—perfectly tailored for Sweet 16 celebrations.

The showcase also featured a special highlight: one couture gown presented for live auction, along with three custom-designed dresses created for honored guests, adding a deeply personal and memorable touch to the experience.

With an intimate audience of 22 attendees, the event created meaningful connections, resulting in three families securing private appointments on the spot—a true testament to the impact and allure of the collection.

The Crown Collection is more than a fashion show—it’s a royal experience. As demand continues to grow, future showcases promise to be even grander, bringing more young ladies and their families into the world of couture, confidence, and celebration.

CAREER DAY - #19

Sparkling Sapphire Events delivered a dazzling Career Day extravaganza at a Westchester County elementary school!

The experience was nothing short of inspiring as 28 incredible professionals—firefighters, doctors, lawyers, city hall staff, and dynamic entrepreneurs—joined together to ignite curiosity in young minds.

Throughout the day, the visitors traveled from classroom to classroom, with each one welcoming four to seven enthusiastic guests. The school’s proud English as a Second Language ambassadors greeted the professionals at the door and escorted them across the building like true VIPs. Upon arrival, guests received a neatly prepared booklet outlining their schedule, fun stickers, and a master teacher list. Stickers became a huge hit as professionals filled students’ Career Day passports with colorful badges of excitement.

The media center was transformed into an inviting autumn-themed haven, complete with festive décor and an elegant autumn themed backdrop perfect for photos. A warm and delicious luncheon awaited the guests, offering a chance to relax, mingle, and network with fellow professionals.

The day wrapped up with a heartfelt speech from the event coordinator—an inspiring close to a beautifully organized and unforgettable day of exploration, learning, and community connection. Sparkling Sapphire Events once again brought brilliance, organization, and magic to the moment.

NEW YEARS HOLIDAY BREAKFAST - #20

Kick off the New Year with cheer! 🎉

Our 2026 New Year’s Holiday Party brought staff together for a cozy, laughter-filled breakfast celebration that was equal parts festive and delicious. Colleagues gathered around tables dressed in cheerful Christmas tablecloths, topped with elegant runners and twinkling white lights—because even breakfast deserves a little sparkle. ✨

The menu? Let’s just say no one left hungry. From fluffy scrambled eggs and golden French toast to cakes, empanadas, savory sausage, bagels with cream cheese, fresh fruit juices, water, and plenty of coffee to power us into the New Year—every plate was a winner. ☕🍳🥐

To keep the energy high, upbeat soca music played in the background, setting a joyful rhythm for the morning, while a winter-festive scene danced across the smart board, adding extra seasonal cheer. ❄️🎶

Between great food, great company, and feel-good vibes all around, the morning was the perfect reminder that the best way to start a new year is together, well-fed, and smiling. Fifty-three people were in attendance for breakfast on the brisk January morning.  Cheers to another year of teamwork, laughter, and delicious moments! 🥂🎆

VALENTINE'S CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST - #21

Love was in the air — and so was the sweet aroma of fresh pastries! 💕 

On Friday, February 13th at 8:00 a.m.,Sparkling Sapphire Events delighted staff with a whimsical and heartwarming 2026 Valentine’s Continental Breakfast, thoughtfully curated as a small token of appreciation. It was a morning rooted in gratitude, connection, and a sprinkle of Valentine’s love as each guest was celebrated in the sweetest way. 

As guests entered the room, charismatic Christian music played joyfully in the background, filling the space with a positive, uplifting ambiance that instantly set hearts at ease. On the smart board, a cheerful “Happy Valentine’s Day” welcome image beamed brightly, greeting participants with a smile before they even reached the table. 

The décor was simply enchanting. Red balloons floated gracefully against the ceiling, each one adorned with a long-stem rose draping elegantly below — a breathtaking display of romance and celebration. The breakfast table itself was a vision of Valentine elegance. Soft, light draping cascaded along the perimeter of the table, beautifully entangled with a vine of red roses. Two glowing white candles flickered gently, casting a warm, romantic shimmer across the display. Eight crystal goblets, each adorned with vibrant tangerines, added a burst of citrus charm, while a bowl of fresh grapes offered a touch of natural sweetness thatseemed to perfume the air. 

The spread was nothing short of deliciously dreamy — assorted pastries, fluffy muffins, perfectly toasted bagels, and vibrant fresh fruit filled the tables with color and charm. Steaming coffee, soothing tea, and refreshing juice kept spirits bright, while decadent cupcakes added that extra dash of Valentine magic. 

And just when guests thought the morning couldn’t get any sweeter, a glowing surprise awaited them on their way out. Elegant gift bags in rich shades of red, gold, and black were beautifully displayed along the wall, draped in twinkling lights and adorned with cascading flowers around the perimeter — a picture-perfect farewell moment. Each bag was personalized, with the recipient’s name delicately sketched onto it, adding an intimate and thoughtful touch. As every breakfast guest exited, they received one, carrying a little extra love with them. 

Inside the thoughtfully prepared bags were cheerful sticky notes, delightful cookies, classic Lifesavers, and irresistible Hershey’s Kisses — tiny treasures designed to extend the sweetness of the morning just a little bit longer. 

It was more than breakfast. It was appreciation served warm, connection wrapped in kindness, and Valentine joy packaged with a bow. 💖✨ 

MOVIE NIGHTS FUNDRAISER - NO ACCESS TO GOOGLE 2025 - #16

It is spring and it's time to fundraise  and socialize! A local community in Westchester County, NY came together to view 2 different movies: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Wicked. Each ticket costs $15.00 per person which includes both movie nights and a food package of 1 hot dog, 1 popcorn, and 1 drink. Proceeds go to the ESL department of their local primary school to fund trips and supplies.  

HISPANIC HERITAGE 2025 SPIRIT WEEK -#17  

For Hispanic Heritage 2025, Grimes created a Spirit Week. Monday, October 20th was Flag Day. Each class at Grimes was assigned a different Hispanic country. There were a total of 25 flags, and each class researched and displayed their flags once completed in their own unique ways.

Tuesday, October 21st was Famous Person Day. Each student was assigned a different Hispanic famous person. Students researched their person and presented them to the rest of the class.

On Wednesday, it was Shake Your Maraca Day. Students received materials of brown paper bags and rice to make their own musical instruments. They shook their uniquely decorated maracas in class to support Hispanic Heritage in the school.

Thursday was Dress Like Your Country Day. Students dressed like their home countries to show support not only for Hispanic heritage but also for the heritage of all students. Students came in a range of outfits to show support.

Lastly, Friday was Frida Kahlo Art Day. Students learned about Frida Kahlo through videos and worksheets to create hats and artwork that mimicked her art style. Students then displayed them in classrooms and explained their connection to Hispanic heritage.

HALLOWEEN AUTUMN EXTRAVAGANZA 2025 - #18

The Halloween Autumn Extravaganza was a joyful celebration, featuring children dressed in their best costumes on Halloween day. Upon arrival, they were greeted by festive autumn backdrops, haystacks, bags of candy, exciting relay race activities, and even a delicious bagged lunch to enjoy. Laughter filled the air as the children danced, played, and created unforgettable memories. It was truly a magnificent time for everyone!

Great Grandma Christmas Read Aloud Party - #13

Children gathered around a local community setting for a special treat. A great grandmother read the classic tale"Twas the Night Before Christmas" to the children of Mt.Vernon, NY. A local musician played his guitar and the students sang carols. A world renowned author by the name of Anne John Ligali, Zoomed in from the UK to read an excerpt of her Christmas book and have an intellectual discussion about the characters. Christmas gifts were given to the children and Christmas treats were eaten. 

Hispanic Heritage 2024: Living Wax Museum. 
Believe That the Impossible if Possible - #14

Students impersonated famous Hispanic leaders while posing in a still position. When a museum visitor touches each wax figure, the figure comes alive and recites a bio of oneself. Museum goers also took a photo of the QR code next to the wax figure, to read more about this famous person. 

Tea Party and Etiquette Class - #15

It's Springtime in the quaint village of Mt.Vernon and the little ladies and dapper gents gather together for afternoon tea. 

 They wear their finest pastels, lace gloves, white pearls, sharpest suits, and colorful hats. Tea pots, finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, salads, scones with jam, and delightful pastries fill the environment with sharp colors and aromas. Music from a pianist plays classic Broadway hits and old classics from Ella Fitzgerald with famous Big Band music from the 1940's. The event was magnified with an electric fashion show with party guests sporting their party attire.     

ESL SPRING SOCIAL - #10

It is springtime and the young people who speak other languages other than English gather together for an evening of Spanish jazz music, good conversations and delightful Italian food. The entryway to the festivities was adorned with spring tulips, butterflies, daisies, roses, and sunflowers. The air smelled delightful with the aroma of Italian dishes cooking in the oven. The young gathered with parents as they ate and listened to the local Spanish jazz musicians play music on the guitar and drums. 

HISPANIC HERITAGE 2023: 
I HAVE WINGS TO FLY - #11

It is wonderful to see a show with young people to celebrate Hispanic Heritage. To celebrate the lives of musicians and artists through poetry, dance, and singing. A local band assisted the young people in bringing music to life. Mexican paper flowers adorned the amphitheater to bring Latin flavor to life! Groups of students representing a different Hispanic country spoke, danced, and sang songs from that country. 

BELLA'S NY BOOK TOUR - #12

U.K. based author, Anne John LIgali, had a 5 day book tour in the NewYork City and Westchester County areas. The locations were Mount Vernon public library, Yonkers, and Bronxville. She visited the Grimes-Parker summer academy and ended her tour at a Christian evangelism summer music festival called Fun in the Son.  

HOPE DAY & FUN IN THE SON 2021 - #7

Hope Day are Christian evangelism events designed for people of all walks of life. These events feature live music performances by top artists and offer various activities in different villages, including the Wealthy Village, Health and Fitness Village, Children's Village, and Prayer Village. In the Children's Village, kids can enjoy games, rides, face painting, storytelling by renowned authors, dancing to praise and worship music, and participate in an altar call for prayer.

Fun in the Son  Fun in the Son is a 3 day Christian Evangelism music festival held in the Bronx, NY every August. The "Son" in the title refers to the Lord, Jesus Christ. There are small villages the public can visit such as Wealthy Village, Health and Fitness Village, Children's Village, and Prayer Village. A free concert is performed by famous Christian artists and the word of God would be spread with an altar call at the end. In the Children's Village,face painting, bouncy houses, field games, read alouds, sing alongs, and an altar call that entailed praying over children is performed.

INTERNATIONAL DAY AT CORNERSTONE - #8

It's time to celebrate different cultures around the world. Children created a story around their home country and recited their masterpiece. At the end everyone enjoyed a feast of food from the international homes. The guests also danced the night away to native music from different cultures. 

CORNERSTONE MASTERMIND - #9

Cornerstone Summer Mastermind: 

This unique summer program was designed for children ages 3-12. Various activities were done during the week. Students were pampered with mani/ pedi, face masks, and massages on Spa day. Other unique days were Olympic Day, Musician Day, Planting Day, Science day, and Musician Day. 

TIME TO SHINE AT 169 TALENT SHOW - #4

Young people in the Bayside Queens area of New York City came alive during their first annual talent show. Students performed dances, sang songs, recited poetry, performed stand up comedy routines, and played various instruments.

In Orange County, NY, this couple found a quaint farm by a lake where they said "I do."

DANA'S BRIDAL SHOWER - #6

This Parisian-themed bridal shower was filled with games, food, laughter, lace parasols, and mimosas.

MOTHER OF THE UNIVERSE - #1

On a warm spring evening in May, friends and family came together to celebrate an extraordinary woman, a cornerstone of her community. Her children and granddaughter organized the event to honor her and to express that she is truly the "Mother of the Universe." The celebration began with a ceremony that introduced the family members. The entertainment for the evening featured poetry readings, African dances, vocal performances, and instrumental music. At the conclusion of each performance, the artists presented a rose to the esteemed mother as a token of appreciation. The night concluded with a buffet of Caribbean cuisine, followed by dancing that lasted until the early morning hours.

WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH - #2

What does a great woman mean to me? During a performance for Women's History Month, children each recited a biography of an influential woman, expressing their admiration and positive feelings toward her. The show concluded with the group performing a choreographed song and dance to Whitney Houston's "I'm Every Woman."

PRINCESS BRITTANY'S SWEET SIXTEEN PARTY - #3

A young teenager from Westchester County, New York, was delighted to celebrate her Sweet 16th on a beautiful sunny day in June. The party was themed around British royalty, featuring knights, jesters, musicians, a royal court, and townsfolk. The music, food, and dancing beautifully complemented the event, making it a memorable occasion.
